You’ll be working with an international fun and helpful team of the brightest people, working from our offices in Amsterdam, Brno and Madrid. You will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer based in Amsterdam, and will be part of the finance team consisting of four colleagues, including Financial Accounting and Planning&Control, both situated in Amsterdam and Brno (CZ). Our organisation is expanding and develops quickly. The finance function is rather young and offers plenty of potential for initiatives, so therefore you have to enjoy to take ownership, bring structure and be flexible.

Key responsibilities

Supports Finance by taking ownership of the general accounting/ bookkeeping, (statutory) reporting and tax processes for all countries 24i is active in.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Collects and maintains accounting records of all financial data representing the daily   business transactions (i.e. ensuring up to date bookkeeping)
  • Supports and aligns with the Operations Controller regarding the product/ project accounting and reporting
  • Prepares invoices, handles incoming invoices, prepares reconciliations, initiates fundings and payments
  • Prepares the monthly group reporting and analyses and investigating variances, summarizing data, information, and trends
  • Monitors monthly actual results against the budget and prepare an overall review and analysis of the variances
  • Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data on various levels
  • Provides financial advice by studying operational issues; applying financial principles and   practices; developing recommendations
  • Prepares special reports by studying variances; involved in preparations of (annual) budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Prepares and supports the compliance to statutory and fiscal obligations in conjunction with the external auditor and/or fiscal advisor

24i is now looking for the right person to fill the position of Legal Counsel.

 

The Legal Counsel will be responsible for all legal topics and report directly to the COO (Chief Operations Officer). You will provide colleagues with advisory support on a wide variety of (transactional) legal issues internationally. This position involves an active role steering and reviewing a broad range of business proposals, contracts, and provision of general legal advice relating to the business activities of the organisation and its operations. M&A projects are also a possibility.

With your years of experience and can-do mentality you can make the difference on legal topics in this rapidly growing organisation. To become successful in your role, it is crucial that you take a proactive role, build productive relationships with relevant stakeholders, build and guard legal processes and are able to drive legal matters internationally (if needed with external support).

Due to the nature of the business 24i is active in, it is important to have affinity with or interest in technology, data and R&D, as you will be working on many technology related contracts. The Legal Counsel will also be responsible to lead specific projects such as improving current templates and specific commercial contract processes. Additionally, proper contract management and overall legal housekeeping will also be part of the job and help 24i operate more effectively.

 

Your responsibilities as Legal Counsel

We have in mind the following activities:

Key responsibilities

  • As legal counsel, you will be responsible to coordinate input and participation of several divisions (operations, product, sales, technology) in complex commercial contracting processes.
  • Review and improve existing contracts and proposals
  • As legal counsel, you will prepare for and participate in contracting conversations with 24i customers and partners – as the owner of the entire commercial contract process
  • Whenever necessary, coordinate external legal support in commercial processes
  • Provide advice and report to management on legal related topics
  • Initiate and lead legal projects and continuous development of the legal instruments
  • Make sure 24i is compliant with law (e.g. GDPR)
  • Things you come up with yourself!

 

 Requirements

  • Master degree in Commercial law   
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in an internationally technology driven environment
  • Team player, down to earth, flexible but firm with excellent communication skills
  • Problem- solving orientation, organisational & prioritising skills and comfortable working with different cultures
  • Experience with M&A, IP law, Labor law and/or GDPR is a plus
  • Fluent English
  • Able to speak, read and write Dutch, Spanish or Czech is a plus
